Review Policy
Review Policy
CJSS’s review policy ensures a thorough and fair evaluation of all manuscripts. Key elements include:
- Double-Blind Review: Both authors and reviewers are anonymous to each other to prevent bias.
- Multiple Reviewers: Each paper is evaluated by at least two independent experts in the field.
- Editorial Oversight: The Editor-in-Chief oversees the entire review process and makes final decisions based on reviewers’ reports.
- Decision Criteria: Manuscripts are judged on originality, methodological rigor, relevance to the field, clarity of presentation, and ethical compliance.
- Revision Rounds: Authors may be invited to revise their manuscript once or more, depending on the reviewer feedback. Major and minor revisions are distinguished by the extent of required changes.
- Timeliness: We aim for a prompt process. Reviewers are asked to complete reviews within a few weeks. If an author’s revisions exceed a reasonable time, the decision may be revisited.
By following this policy, CJSS maintains high editorial standards and provides authors with constructive feedback to improve their work.
